Our yard has been attacked by Japanese Beetles over the last two weeks. Hundreds of beetles have settled into our weeping cherry tree and completely destroyed the leaves. I'm sure the tree will be fine next season, but they have become really annoying. Apparently they like ornamental trees.
We have two beetle traps out and have filled four bags in just a few days. And before you all leave me comments saying that putting out traps just attracts more beetles to your yard---we know!! Our neighbor put them out first and so we had to follow suit before the beetles carried away the children.
