Say it Ain't So

My phone rang tonight at 10:01 and I knew it was someone calling to see if I was as shocked as they were that Melinda did not make it to the finals of American Idol. I was right.

Folks, here's the moral of the story: You've got to vote. Blake is a magnet for tweener girls (and Say Anything) who have no problem spending an hour or two of of their life calling and text messaging votes in for him. The rest of us old fogeys love to watch and armchair quarterback, but we rarely vote.

If you doubt my theory, let me remind you of a little-known contestant named Sanjaya.

So, please, for the love of pete, vote next week.
