5 People Who Need to Start Blogging

It has been so much fun to see so many people I know start blogging. But there are still a few more lurkers out there who would be great, great bloggers. So, I'm calling them out and hoping a little peer pressure will push them over to Blogger where they can get an URL of their very own.

1. Becky W: Here's the deal. Becky doesn't even have a computer so she didn't even know what a blog was until last night. But she is one of the people on my five most fascinating people list (a post for another time) and deserves to have a blog. Here's just a few of the things you'd learn about Becky on her blog: she was home schooled, she has participated in sheep to shawl contests, she was a rodeo queen, she's been to "many" weddings where the bride and groom had their nuptials on horseback, she's writing a book, she's a tomboy, she drives a motorcycle, she wants a tattoo, she weaves rugs, she has three rugged boys, she's going to a pot-luck wedding next month, and on and on and on it goes.

2. Tracy W: I think Tracy should start a blog b/c it would be funny. And thought-provoking. And honest. But most importantly, because she moved away a few years ago and many of us would like to know what's up with her family on a daily basis. She is also in the process of adopting a baby girl from China, and that's a journey that's always great to follow via a blog.

3. Chris G: Chris is a cousin on my dad's side of the family. She has the distinction of being the youngest of 13 cousins. I only see her once every few years and it's rarely at an event where we can just sit around and catch up. But she has become one of my faithful readers and has commented about how much better she knows me and my family from reading this blog. However, I think it's only fair that I have the opportunity to peek into her life through her own blog. She's a mom of two kids, loves Jesus and I know she has a lot of great things to add to the conversation.

4. Marnie: Marnie is my sister-in-law. She has an amazing range of interests and talents that would make for great blogging fodder. She's a fabulous cook and I could see her doing a cooking/recipe blog. She also loves to travel and has been to some pretty exotic places in the world that would also make for riveting reading. She enjoys the opera and symphony, she's in a book club, she likes to run, and she always has a house renovation project in process. And, in her spare time, she's an attorney in Philadelphia who lives a completely different lifestyle from most of us SAHMs. Oh, and did I mention she was featured on a HGTV show last winter? Yeah...she needs a blog.

5. Laurie S: Well, you can never have too many blogs that make you laugh out loud. I guarantee that anything written by Laurie, the quintessential Jersey girl, would have us in stitches. But she is also an encourager and I know that her uplifting and timely words would be like water to all of our weary, diaper-laden souls. She is actually very close to starting a blog. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Okay, Okay, alright already. I did it. I followed the directions, and I started a blog. I don't know that I have anything that funny or thought-provoking to share, but you asked for it. Now you got it. Check me out at:

I called it "The Gang's All Here!" and now I feel like Classic Mama - that's also the name of an old movie, I believe from the 50's. Who knew?!

Enjoy the ride - I have no idea what I'm doing, but I did it :)
