The Enchanted Forest

I've said for years that if one of the malls around here had some type of play area for kids they would double their business. Well, it finally happened.

The Harrisburg Mall just opened The Enchanted Forest Play Area. The Enchanted Forest is a 1,428-square-foot, $221,000 indoor playground. Located just outside of what now is Hecht's and soon will be Macy's, the Enchanted Forest has become popular with kids and parents.

Of course, what's not to like? There are purple benches for parents to sit on, a 13-foot singing tree with a crawl-through trunk, an airplane, a Jeep, a boat and a turtle. All that entertainment for free, seven days a week.

The Harrisburg Mall also offers Toddler Tuesdays twice a month from 10:00-11:30 am. You can check here for future dates and activities. Or, you can sign up for the Kids Club and have information sent right to your email.

The Next Toddler Tuesday is August 29, sponsored by Mad Science.
