Get on fire with OnFire

I met my friend "OnFire" nearly seven years ago when she first attended our small group with her husband. They were young and naive but we loved them just the same for their enthusiasm and generous hearts.

It was evident, even during those early days, that they were not going to be content living a safe life. She had an insatiable love for missions and took every opportunity to support and get involved in God's work around the world. And, even with two toddlers at home, she felt called to go to Ecuador last fall to serve on a short-term missions trip. But it was her husband's trip to Louisiana later in the fall that set in motion a new chapter for their lives.

When he came back, he now knew what she had always known; their family was called to the mission field. So...the middle of this August OnFire and her husband and their two boys are moving to North Carolina to attend a missions school. Although they don't know where God will ultimately lead them, they know that this is the first step in this great adventure.

I've known for awhile that OnFire was blogging but she preferred to keep that quiet while she got her feet wet. But I've been secretly hoping that she'd allow others to join her conversation because you can't help but feel the love of Christ when you're with her. She is an excellent writer and will challenge and encourage you in your own great adventure.

I'm even more excited that we can keep our hearts and lives connected as we "check in" on each other through our blogs. Please visit her site and see for yourself. And don't stay too long or you may find yourself "on fire."

This is the truth. I met On Fire the same day that MIA met her. Her and her husband are incredible people. We are best friends and live only 1/2 block away. We are going to miss them dearly. They challenge my husband and I all the time. I think On Fire's favorite question to us is "Did you pray about it?" I'm sure that question will ring in my ears for years to come. Enjoy her blog. You WILL be encouraged and learn alot from it. (No pressure On Fire!)

MIA-
I read this last night and needed to sleep on it before I responded. You nearly brought me to tears. There is something that sits deeply in my heart when I read this. Thank you!

Embow - you practically brought the waterworks too!

Seriously between the both of you I might need stock in kleenex!

Love you both!
