After two weeks of watching the Olympics into the wee hours of the morning, and then two more weeks of watching the conventions into the wee hours of the morning, and then having to start getting up at 6:00AM to get the kids on the bus this week....I am spent. Tired. Exhausted. Sleepy.
I caught up a little over the weekend but I think I still have a ways to go. So really all I'm good for today is a list of sleepy thoughts.
Thoughts About Politicis that I Can't Share over at P4M
*My brother needs to put his brain on pause.
*I love the balloon drops.
*I want to adopt Piper Palin.
*I want to name my next kid, I mean dog, Piper.
*I heart Sarah Palin and am glad we have our own "rock star."
*Our rock star can beat up your rock star.
*I'm driving my brother nuts right now.
*There was so much history made over the last two weeks that the history books will have to add a whole new chapter on just this election.
*I think I realized I'm a conservative feminist. Whatever that means.
*I loved seeing all the reporters drone on for hours talking about absolutely nothing.
*I think Palin's speech will go down in history as the speech with the most quoted lines.
*I heart Sarah Palin because she's a woman, has good hair, cute kids, and she has pitbull-like tendencies. I'm not really concerned with her politics, because at the end of the day you're a winner if you have good hair and cute kids.
*My brother just had a coronary.
Thoughts on the First Week of School
*We had a bus saga. On the first day.
*I called the bus office last Thursday and left a message regarding a "safety issue" on our van and they still haven't called back. I appreciate their concern
*WS busing is the biggest waste of taxpayer money.
*Brown Sugar loves first grade.
*She wants to bring home the class pet some weekend for a visit.
*She's not sure if it's a hamster, gerbil, guinea pig or man-eating snake.
*The jury is still out with Sparkle and third grade.
*I'm up to my eyeballs in school stuff. I'm in charge of the Read-A-Thon, Book Fair and I'm the third grade classroom coordinator. Did I mention the Read-A-Thon and the Book Fair overlap.
Thoughts on Change
*Change is coming to this blog.
*Don't be afraid. It's good.
*Expect it in the next week or so.

I agree with all your oozing over Sarah Palin. I love her. I tell you I LOVE HER!!
Oh no! Bus saga? Already??
And, your brother sure does keep things interesting over at P4M!
And, my favorite quote from you:
Our rock star can beat up your rock star.
LOL!!!!
I also wonder about how Jeff keeps up the lawyer mind 24/7. I don't think I have that kind of stamina or passion. Kudos to Jeff.
My favorite soundbite from Palin's speech was, "Some people use change to further their career. Other people...use their career to further change." Something close to that anyway. I just don't have the time to read a transcript and get it exactly. I'll leave that to my cousin.
I also liked the bit about selling the luxury jet on ebay. Ha!
I admit, Palin has finally won me over, but not until I saw this clip. I'm definitely more conservative than feminist, but after this clip and reading more about her (both at P4M and other sites), I'm a fan. A big one.

Seriously, it took me weeks of watching the hot debates over at P4M to figure out that Anonymous Jeff was your brother. I'd like to attribute it to my total pre-occupation, but I think I was just too incensed by some of his commentary to really pay attention to whom the author actually was. duh. I know. :)
I am a liberal feminist...butI agree, Palin has nice hair! LOL! :)
