Mean, Mean Mom Update #2

For dinner tonight I made several of Brown Sugar's favorites: barbecue chicken on the grill, corn on the cob, fresh green beans. She had chocolate milk, a single serving bag of chips and a bowl of ice cream.

Of course, we all made it known how delicious every single bite of the corn and chicken were...even Junior gave his approval with "corn good mom." When I lamented that I wouldn't be able to save her anything to eat b/c the corn probably wouldn't keep a few more days, she asked how many more days on her own did she have.

MMM (Mean, Mean, Mom): Well, you're making 9 meals...

BS: Nine???? I thought it was three.

MMM: It is three, but that's 9 meals.

BS: How many more days do I have.

MMM: Well, you have all day tomorrow and then breakfast and lunch on Thursday.

BS: (silence)

I'm feeling like pancakes and bacon for the morning.

You are a braver, stronger woman than me!

I have a terrible feeling this plan would backfire on me if I tried this with my picky #3! I'm afraid she would be so happy to survive on Captain Crunch, ice cream and chips for several weeks......

Ooooh, you ARE a mean, mean mom. I love the twisted way your mind works :) Kevin Leman tells a similar story about his son and spaghetti and meatballs. I heard it one morning when I was listening to him on Dobson and I never forgot it. Enjoy the bacon :)
