Nothing New Here

This is the kid's first week home and it has been a good one. I've tried to keep it low key because starting next week we begin a busy schedule of appointments, tutoring and summer fun. But this week we've enjoyed a few lazy mornings, playing at the park and walking by the creek.

Growing up, we had a creek that ran through our neighbor's back yard. We played for hours and hours and hours at the creek. From catching minnows to playing house to trying to make a boat out of scrap wood, we entertained ourselves for years at that little creek.

What's your favorite summer memory as a kid?

Was just talking about this with Stacey G - we used to play at their house and visit the creek, play house in the barn ruins, pick berries, and laze in the shade. All 6 of us older ones would be gone for hours, roaming all over her family's property. Happy times!

Vacations at Rehobeth Beach and catching lightning bugs after dinner are some of my best summer memories! And, getting cheeseburgers and Swedish fish at the local pool. You knew I had to reference some kind of food memory!
