Last night was the finale of Celebrity Apprentice. Although I'm not a country music fan, I did come to love and respect country music star Trace Adkins who was in the finals. He is a big, cowboy hat toting, huggable teddy bear of a guy, and although he didn't take top prize last night, he did win the honor "nicest guy in the whole wide world" by most everyone Trump interviewed.
As part of the finale, Trace Adkins performed his latest single called "You're Gonna Miss This." I actually was trying to multi-task at the time and didn't really pay attention to the song because, well, I'm not really into his music. But I saw the actual video posted on another blog this morning and decided to listen again and I was so moved by the song.
I still can't say that I love or even like country music, but this song described perfectly the battle I am always up against. I am always looking ahead to the next stage of life or when the kids get 'just a little older' and often miss the moments I'm in.
So, please, take 3.5 minutes and let this song recharge your mommy batteries.
You don't want to miss this!

I'm not particularly a Country Music fan, but I have to say, that song made me cry. Even during the hard times we need to enjoy them!!
I am going to convert you all, one sappy heartfelt song at a time. Mwah ha ha ha! It's been my evil plan all along, back when I first turned my knob to bob!!!!!
I can't listen to anything anymore without crying. I have become a sap.
