Our school has a formal "snack" time for all elementary students mid-morning to help thwart the munchies and keep them focused until lunch time. I thought I'd share some of the suggestions they provided that would be yummy in any kid's lunchbox:
apples (sliced)
banana
boiled egg (pre-peeled)
carrot sticks
cereal bar
celery sticks (with or without PB)
cheese (string or cubed)
crackers (cheese, PB, plain)
dried cereal, low in sugar
dried fruit
fish crackers
granola bar
grapes
nuts
pepperoni/Slim Jims
Pretzels
Raisins
Trail Mix
