Do You Have a Square to Spare?

The following was allegedly written by singer Sheryl Crow. I say allegedly because I can't believe any sane person would make such a suggestion. However, it does help explain why liberal environmentalists are often referred to as "wackos."

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required. When presenting this idea to my younger brother, who's judgment I trust implicitly, he proposed taking it one step further. I believe his quote was, "how bout just washing the one square out."

Sheryl has also designed a dining sleeve. Instead of using paper napkins, you simply wipe your mouth on your sleeve. The sleeve detaches and then you can wash and reuse it.

Hey, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

My Public Relations mind is now thinking of a great new product: Sheryl Crow toilet tissue. It could have it's own dispenser that sings "Soak Up The Sun" as you tear your square. (Well, it would be soaking up something.)It could have pictures of her printed all over it. That's it. I'm calling those Quilted Northern ladies to start sewing!...
