A Good Morning America story this week focused on how happy Americans are and what makes them happy. Apparently, researchers have developed a way to quantify happiness. They use what is called an authentic happiness inventory that rates contentment on a scale of 1 to 5. The average American scored a 3.2. So what makes us happy?
The bottom line is that relationships make us happy. The more we have and the stronger the bonds , the happier we are. It reinforces the notion that things or position don't buy happiness."You have to have something you're passionate about and also people in your life. … Other people matter," Peterson said.
You can take the happiness inventory, just 24 short, multiple-choice questions. You will get immediate results. I scored a 3. What about you? And do you think it's an accurate measurement of your happiness level?

I scored a 3 too. I guess that means that we are right in the middle, happy with life, but plenty to work on!
Enjoy your day!
