What Is On Your Bucket List?

Ok...I'm admitting I'm a little behind the times.

I just heard the term "bucket list" for the first time about 2 weeks ago. It was in a magazine and I was like, "huh?". Then, my 60-something year old aunt told me they were visiting polar bears in Canada because it was on my uncle's "bucket list". What the....? Am I not the keeper of all new and trendy fads out there? Apparently I'm not. Maybe now that I'm closer to age 40 then 35, I am losing my edge....although that "age" excuse doesn't really work since I heard the term coined by my "senior" aunt and uncle!

I'm told by the experts out there that I need a "bucket list". I guess this is like a wish list? Goals? I know someone who is reading this knows more about a "bucket list" than I do! I think that visiting Europe could go on my "bucket list", but what about paying off all our debt? Is that "bucket list" worthy?

So, I'm curious...what is your take on a "bucket list" and if you already have one, what is on yours?

I have heard of the bucket list but I don't like the term because it refers to things you want to do before you "Kick the Bucket". I have wild dreams and wishes like climbing Mt. Everest and sky diving but I wouldn't say they go on the bucket list. I just love living life now and not worrying about getting it all in before I die.

I'm with you - just heard this term last night on a TV show.

I used to have stuff on my list but my view of life has changed; I am attempting to live in the here and now. I also believe that regardless of what I do now, it will not even compare to life in eternity.

I still want to watch the movie The Bucket List (where the term came from) but haven't gotten around to it yet. I use to have a "bucket list" when I was young and free and the world was my oyster. Now, my bucket is empty and I'm too tired to fill it up.

I heard the movie was pretty good from a coworker but haven't seen it myself. I have never written a list like this, but I would imagine the exercise would help you prioritize what you really want to accomplish with your life.
