"Speak, for your servant is listening" I Samuel 3:10
The official site for SYATP highlights the importance of making connections and challenges the students of today by asking them...
What if, like Samuel you:
—made a connection with God as a young person?
—declared, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening”?
—never let any of God’s words “fall to the ground” in your own life?
I don't know about you but I sense that this challenge can be applied to everyone - across the generations.
So what are you doing tomorrow morning? If possible, set your alarm and join the generations Wednesday, September 24, at 7 a.m., GATHER at your school flagpole. PRAY for your school, friends, families, and world. CONNECT. Listen as He speaks to you!
I did this for years while I was teaching and was so blessed to see the community support. Oftentimes, it brought me to tears as I would hear them and the students pray.
Have you participated before? How was your experience?

It looks like I missed the boat on this one - I have no idea if they are doing this at our school or where in the district it would be. I tried to look it up online but couldn't find anything.
We actually went once before, with you guys, as a matter of fact!
Abby actually went to her first one at our middle school where she said some people played guitar, and then they broke into groups to pray. The one at our elementary school is always great--it's so reassuring as a parent to come and see all these Christian teachers who've come out to pray for our kids.
