Created & Called

On June 27, 2006, I wrote my first post on this blog. Today, 741 posts later, I'm writing my last.

This blog was originally intended for the moms of MIA. Little did I know it would connect with moms all over the nation. I was even more surprised when MIA mom after MIA mom started their own blog so we could all glean, encourage and inspire each other in a new medium.

After I stepped down from MIA more than a year ago, I agreed to continue this blog. But now I feel it's time for me to turn the page to a new chapter. So even though this is my last post on "Like I Was Saying," it's actually the start of something new.

Beginning tomorrow, this site will be renamed "Created & Called," this year's MIA theme, and will feature posts from all your favorite MIA bloggers. In the blog world, it's called a group blog and they will continue to inform, inspire, encourage and share their greatest money-saving tips and recipes all from one spot. You'll also find the current MIA calendar and other information about the ministry.

I'll also be contributing to Created & Called and will continue to post at Politics for Moms and Don't Make Me Stop This Car.

So come back tomorrow, AFTER you attend the first MIA meeting of the new season beginning at 9AM at CCC, and see the new look of Created & Called. And, thank you, for a wonderful two years.

Natalie,
Thank you so much for all you have done to make this a great site and for Moms in Action over the last few years. You are truly an inspiration!

I am so excited to be able to attend MIA meetings again and to be a part of this new adventure!!

Thank you for all the great things you have done these past two years - this site has been such an encouragement to me since it began.

And though The Boss wasn't too sure about this blogging thing when I started, we both thank you with a resounding heartfelt shout. Through the blogging world, we've been able to connect with friends, family, and other adoptive parents.

And thanks to you, we are sharing our awesome journey. As I type this, I'm sitting in a hotel on the 19th floor, in Xi'an China, a mere 14 hours from our new daughter. Thanks for opening my eyes to a brand new world :)

Thanks for starting this blog and introducing all of us to the blog world - I really did not understand the blog world and what I could read about and write about until you introduced me to it!

I am looking forward to the "new" blog as well as continuing to read about your adventures!

Thank you! Without you I wouldn't know what a blog was.

I'm grateful that you will continue to post on C&C. You amaze me with the pluthera of tidbits you find. I don't know how you do ALL that you do.

Looking forward to participating with you in this new venture.

I agree with TCC...I would be just like all the other women I talk to who just look at me funny when I tell them about a great "blog".

Thank you for all you've done and for all the laundry that never gets done while I'm "blobbing"!!!
