While We're on the Subject of Design Star

I should go ahead and mention all the great reality shows that I'm watching this summer.

1. Project Runway (Bravo, Wed, 10:00) started two weeks ago and I'm already really liking this group of designers. I don't feel any of the designers are really being innovative yet, but I have a feeling the best is yet to come. So far I like the girl who won the first challenge the most.

2. Hopkins (ABC, Thurs, 9:00) is a look behind the scenes of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. They are following several surgeons, students, residents and patients through the day-to-day life of working in a major hospital. It is VERY interesting and if you are at all interested in organ donations, so far they've shown a kidney and heart being implanted. Miracle.

3. Flipping Out (Bravo, Tue, 10:00). Can I just say that every time I see that picture Jeff gave Zoila for her birthday, I start crying I'm laughing so hard. I was in stitches that entire episode. And then when Jeff told Chris that there are no holidays at Jeff Lewis' office and he kept saying "but it's a national holiday." Classic. Oh, and I think Jeff has met his match in the 10-year-old.

4. Carrier (PBS, Thurs, 8:00) is a 6-part look at life on a US Naval Ship. They follow these sailors through everyday duties as well as the job at hand. It's amazing to think that several thousand 18-21 year olds are defending our freedom half a world away.

Any other good ones out there?

I have been watching Project Runway too! I like her and the other girl who got second place with the cocktail dresses. I also like Sheer Genius the hair dressers challenge.

Livin' Life,

I saw Sheer Genius while we were on vacation and really liked it also. I've got to remember to set my DVR to record it. Who knew there could be so much drama around hair?

I'm addicted to Jon & Kate Plus 8 (so is Jeff, but he won't admit to it).

Surprisingly, I've only ever seen one complete episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. I just need to set the DVR to record it b/c I never can remember when it's on.
