Flipping Out

One of my all-time favorite reality shows is Flipping Out from Bravo. The first episode of season 2 was last night and I was quickly reminded why I adore this show.

The show is about Jeff Lewis, an entrepreneur in L.A. who flips houses for a living. But these aren't just any houses. They are multi-million dollar homes that he sinks hundreds of thousands of dollars in renovations into. And Jeff isn't your typical businessman. He is 100% certifiably CRAZY with a capital C-R-A-Z-Y. Here's 5 reasons why I love this show:

1. Jeff has OCD and you quickly learn that he likes his coffee at exactly 140 degrees, the leaves hand picked off his lawn, and his refrigerator contents perfectly lined up and with labels facing out.

2. Also on the show are his employees. There is Jenni, his executive assistant and Julia Louis Dreyfus look alike. Chris is currently House Manager and married to Jenni. But last season Chris ticked Jeff off one too many times and he was demoted to Trash Guy. Then there is another House Assistant who is new this year and we have Ryan. Ryan is Jeff's business partner. Zoila is the maid.

3. So far he has hired an accupunturist and psychatrist for his beloved cats.

4. "I don't want to party like it's my birthday. I want to sell my house." Said by Jeff as he was chastising his employees for changing the CDs in his player.

5. My final reason is this clip from last season when Jeff is giving his drink order to one of the house assistants. It is classic Jeff Lewis.

One more reason that I can't resist:

6. In last season's final episode, Jeff threw an "I Appreciate You" party for his employees and made attendance mandatory.

Let me go on the record saying this is not a squeaky clean show and not one I'd let the wee ones watch with you. But oh how it makes me laugh.

Have anyone else ever seen Flipping Out?

I love the show too! You are right you cannot watch it with the kids and I have to sneak watch it without the hubby who thinks I'm nuts for wanting to watch it!

I don't have Bravo but I have seen episodes on their website and whatever I can gleen from YouTube.

I honestly thought that these people had to be actors. I mean, NObody can really be like this, right?

But I'm wrong, which makes watching this even more, head-shakingly funny.
