Well, if you've ever wondered if Oprah was a fan of New Age thinking, here's the proof. She's taking her fans through a year-long "Course in Miracles" by Marianne Williamson. Each day, her book club site features a different lesson on this essentially new religion. Here are some quotes from this book:
"There is no sin."
"A slain Christ has no meaning."
"The journey to the cross should be the last ' useless journey."
"Do not make the pathetic error of 'clinging to the old rugged cross."
"The name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol... It is a symbol that is safely used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which you pray."
"The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself."
"The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation."
It just goes to prove that people are searching for something. Over 3.5 million copies of the book have been sold and over 500,000 people have signed up for the web seminar.

Is this part of her New Earth campaign? I heard about that (how could you NOT, with all the promoting that's been done!) and wondered where she was going with it all. I haven't looked into it with all the other stuff on my plate recently, but I did wonder!
I'm extrememly disturbed by the quotes from the book.
"There is no sin." That's like telling people 'you will in no way be accountable for your actions, so go ahead and do what you like.'
Wow! This just completely goes against everything that I know and believe.
