The Baby Borrowers

I think this is the best idea for a reality show that I've seen in ages. Every kid 12 years old and older should be required to watch it. Here's what NBC has to say about their new show:

Baby Borrowers is a unique social experiment that takes five teenage couples on a rollercoaster ride of adult responsibility, allowing them to experience parenting firsthand. Desperate to have their own life and family, our lovebirds are thrown in at the deep end. They're given real houses and real responsibilities---the most important of which is to look after children from a range of age groups. They'll begin with an infant, followed by a toddler, pre-teen, young teenager, and lastly a senior citizen. In the end, will these couples be able to cope with the pressure of parenthood or will they break?

It will air mid-February

Good concept, but would you leave your infant or toddler with one of these couples?

Scary.....

Maybe it's those long word verifications! I swear, mine was like 14 characters tonight.

And this one is 8!

I saw the version that the BBC did in England. I'm with Melissa I think the concept is great but as a parent of one of those babies it would be so scary. One of the young ladies let the stroller just topple right over. I know for that version they had professional nannies at their sides at all times. The parents saw video clips later and you should have seen their expressions.

I would let them watch my 6 year old.....she is going through a "I wanna be a teenager" faze. But I doubt I would let them watch a small child. Professionals there or not.
