Finally

I think America held its collective breath last night as we all watched in disbelief as Sanjaya was pitted against KiKi in the bottom two. Time stood still as I conversed in my head about how there surely couldn't be any possible way that Sanjaya would outlast KiKi. Could there? But then I remembered how he had already outwitted, outplayed and outlasted six other Idol hopefuls, all of which could easily outsing him with half their vocal cords tied behind their backs. And then my mind flashed all the way back to season one when favorite Tamyra Gray made a much too early exit. All I could think was...

STOP THE INSANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then, in a nano second, the reign of terror ended and we all let out a HUGE sigh of relief and started believing again in our little guilty pleasure called...AMERICAN IDOL!

Thank you, America. I believe again.

I held my breath - thinking that for sure if Ryan Seacrest told Sanjaya that he was safe I'd just have to stop tuning in to American Idol... Hallelujah! Go Blake!

I was happy to hear the news but I have to admit I have felt so sorry for the situation he has been "forced" into. He seems to be a nice kid (not like I really KNOW...I'm just saying...) and I don't think it was fair for people to vote for him and put him in that position. I know I wouldn't like to be the pun of a joke and just about everyone knew he was being voted for and labeled as "the worst". It's just mean. As you can tell, I don't like meanies.

I felt the same way as TCC. I really felt that he should have been out a LONG time ago, but I would not have liked to be in his position. He was doing his best to go for the top, and I do not think that it was his choice to be portrayed the way that he was. So, I feel bad for him with the way that things happened, but I am so glad that he was finally voted off!
