Signing Time

Signing Time is a video series that teaches children American Sign Language in a fun and memorable way. Sign language helps infants and pre-verbal toddlers communicate their needs without resorting to temper tantrums. It's also a great second language for school-aged children.

We taught both of our girls the signs for food, water, more, please, thank you and potty when they were around 10 months old. They picked it up very quickly and it definitely helped them not become frustrated communicating with us.

Rachel Coleman and Hopkins from the Signing Time videos will be at The State Museum of PA in Harrisburg on Sunday, October 15 at 11:30AM and 1:30 PM for a performance. The performance is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available by calling 772-6997.

Also, the Signing Time series can be seen Sundays at 7:00AM on WITF-TV.
