Five Magazines I'm Reading Right Now

I love to read and there are four books on my night stand right now. But I rarely seem to finish any book I start. Or, at least it takes me forever to finish a book. Magazines are much easier to conquer. So, here are five magazines that I'm enjoying right now.

1. MOMSense: The MOPS magazine. I haven't read it for a few years but always enjoyed it before. Looks like they have a fresh look and the same great, insightful articles. This issue has a great article on how becoming a mom shouldn't mean you lose a part of yourself, but actually add to it. There's also a timely article on identity theft and how you can protect yourself and your children.

2. Wonder Time: Their motto is, "We believe a magazine should be more about the joy of parenting and less about the job of parenting." Produced by the editors of FamilyFun, this magazine is full of beautiful photography and articles that look at parenting from a different angle. It's definitely one of the more refined parenting magazines I've seen. So far, I've enjoyed articles on the 3 skills a preschooler really needs, first friendships and how to get your child interested in nature.

3. Ladybug: Okay, this magazine is for the kids but I'm reading it too! What's great about Ladybug is that everything in each issue is geared to young children while a magazine like Highlights tries to hit a wide span of ages. Ladybug has cute stories, poems, songs, games and activities that are great for kids ages 2-6. Would make a great gift idea to give the Grandparents!

4. Ladies' Home Journal: I picked up this issue because Michael J. Fox and his wife are on the cover and I was interested to read that article. But this is one of the better mainstream magazines because it has relevant articles for women. I've already learned how to clutter-proof the kids' closets, how to make a week of WOW chicken dinners and an interesting series of articles they have on back to school issues.

5. Christianbook.com: Okay, this isn't a magazine, but at 64 pages I'm not sure what else to call the fall sale flyer for Christian Book Distributors. I don't need another book but I still love to go through the flyer and mark all the books I dream about reading one day. If you're not familiar with CBD, check out their Web site for great deals on books, Bibles, CDs, gift items, children's items, etc.

I agree, books are hard to finish.
I haven't heard of many of those. I wonder if I can get them in Canada. I'll have to look the next time I am out and about.
