Tackle It Tuesday: Painting Trim

We've lived in our house 9 years. It was in perfect move in condition when we bought it. The entire house had just been painted and we literally just moved the furniture in and started living. Well, fast forward nine years and the wear and tear of daily life with three kids has taken a toll on our once perfect paint job.

As I told you last week, our two oldest went on a short vacation to grandma's house. Although I'm still not sure what I got into me, I took the opportunity to do some painting while they were gone.

At first, I was only going to paint the trim around our front window. Then, I decided to do the front door and its trim. Then the closet door and trim. Then the bathroom door and trim. Then the hallway baseboards. Well, I've since followed the trim up the stairway and now I'm doing all the trim and doors in the hallway. I'm also working on all the baseboard trim in our living room and dining room.

Of course, my freshly painted trim now makes it even more obvious that the walls of all these rooms need a fresh coat of paint as well. I'm not sure when it will all end, but in the meantime I've gotta go...I see a spot I missed!

You remind me of the kid's book, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." At least, I think that's the title. One thing just leads to another! But wow, I bet your house looks great! A fresh coat of paint always makes a place look better, doesn't it? Great job!

That's awesome...I LOVE to paint, but man with a 2 year old who thinks EVERYTHING calls his name to be touched...painting is not something I am ready to hit yet! :) Good job!
